No pirates in the news??? what hell is this!
‭No pirates in the news this week, but a couple cool blog posts. Kilokat7 DX posted several audio files of some classic pirates from the 80′s and Steve Conway posted some photos from his week aboard the floating rock station off the Dutch coast, Radio Seagull.

FCC on the make!
‭Pirates in the news this week include several FCC actions against medium wave offenders. Including a NOUO to Free radio Lompoc. The FCC ordered the shut down of two pirate FM radio stations that were operating in Erie PA. A NAL issued to a FM station on the frequencies 90.1 MHz and 96.7 MHz in Plainfield, New Jersey. Another NOUO was tacked on the door in Brooklyn, New York. Yet another NOUO for a station operating in operating in Baltimore, Maryland on 90.7 MHz. And a $20,000 NAL to Ethics Inc. for unauthorized operation of an LPFM. A pair of Pirate operators have gone legit with their own legal station KSVG. John Anderson reports that the FCC approved a increase in the power of FM-HD digital broadcasts.
